CGR can employ the 102 bands MIVIS multispectral sensor. This instrument is able to record the information whose ground resolution varies from 3 up to 10 meters. MIVIS sensor is installed on a CASA 212 aircraft that has been adapted to host it and which  flies from 1000 meters to 5000 meters above ground.

For its spectral characteristics it can record data coming from visible,  near, middle and thermal infrared part of the spectrum.

One of the most important benefits of the instrument is that all this information is acquired  simultaneously for each pixel, from the same field of view, thus being sure that all the spectral information is coming from the same point on the ground.

It can be used for different kinds of application, for the analysis of the environment from a geological point of view, for oceanography and other studies.
