Important processes of central government bodies like cadastre, disbursement of European funds for agriculture, environment monitoring programs (the Kyoto Protocol) are currently based on data collected by CGR. In addition, the present and future development of urban centers, now considered as an irreversible process, requires new sources of data for cities smart management (smart cities) as well as the availability of these data over the time (historical and updates) have so far become an essential element to support decision makers in the implementation of new public policies concerning: urban development, taxation, alternative energy, interaction with citizens and with professionals.
