CGR has a 186-band hyperspectral sensor operated in collaboration with Universities and Research Centers; for size and weight, this sensor can be installed on any aircraft of the CGR fleet.
One of the most important benefits of the instrument is that all this information is acquired simultaneously for each pixel, from the same field of view, thus being sure that all the spectral information is coming from the same point on the ground.
It can be used for different kinds of application, for the analysis of the environment from a geological point of view, for oceanography, asbestos and other studies.
